CSE Network Toolkit - Classroom Manager
Classroom Manager gives teachers powerful, extensive, simple control of ICT classrooms.
The easy to use interface allows teachers to replicate the layout of the computers in the classroom. Teachers can display user names (or request names) at each station, view screens singly or in multiples, control students’ computers, annotate screens remotely and even blank and freeze student screens. Powerful broadcast facilities allow teachers to broadcast a central PC screen to all computers, broadcast a student’s PC to all computers or broadcast video and audio to multiple PC’s.
But it’s not all ‘one-way traffic’. The strength of Classroom Manager lies in the way it allows teachers and students to interact, using ICT to its full classroom potential. Students can be allowed to take control of a central computer (for example, a whiteboard). Teachers can engage in one to one audio conversation with a student and send and receive files. Classroom Manager allows teachers both to ask questions via the PC’s and get real time answers with graphical analysis – giving teachers a visual insight into the level of their students’ understanding of the lesson.
